Windows 7 installation Problem

HP Recommended
HP 245 G5
Microsoft Windows XP (64-bit)

Yesterday I bought HP 245 G5 Notebook and proceeded for installtion of Windows 7.

Windows 7 installation starts with ' preparing files for installation ...'  goes upto 100% and then system reboots normally.

after that Windows 7 logo comes and installtion crashes with blue death screen.

The error shown is 'The Bios in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Contact system vendor....'

Can some one guide me on how to overcome this issue ?

Where did you get the Windows 7 disk? Did the laptop come with FreeDos or a Windows preinstall? The BIOS are acpi compliant so that is not the issue. It can be a bad installation medium or even compatibility. The newer Intel and AMD chips are not supported for Windows 7 but there are workarounds. I am just not fully familiar with AMD workarounds.
