Windows 7 installation - can't find HDD

Hello.

I'm trying to install Windows 7 Pro. Installer can't find my HDD.

I've tried loading sata drivers - didn't help.

I've run hdd test and had no errors.

What can I do?

My notebook HP G62-b40sw.

Windows 7 installation - can't find HDD

According to this page: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02603445

That notebook came with Windows 7 Home Premium.  Why not use the Windows Anytime Upgrade instead of an install?  It is pretty easy to do and does not take very long, either.

Did you happen to make the Recovery DVD set?  Pop the first disk in to see if that recognizes the HDD.

Windows 7 installation - can't find HDD

Ok. Thanks for all your suggestions.

I've solved the problem.

I think windows didn't see my HDD because of other than NTFS filetype system (i.e. Ext4). I don't know is it really true.

I've deleted all my partitions and make only one new NTFS partition and it works now.

Probably it's not the best solution but i have no other idea.

I suspect that Windows does not recognize the Ext4 format.  I would have thought that the drive would still be found by the Windows 7 install disk, however.  Interesting.
