Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I bought 3 laptops (HP Probook G2 - Window 10, with Windows 7 downgradable pre-installed) for work, they came with window 7 pre-installed and the 3 installation CD's. I had to re-install of of the systems so I choose of of the 3 CD's thinking any could work, which it did for some time now the machine is displaying the notice at the bottom right corner saying the installation is not genuine.... sigh..
looking for the activation sticker
- I checked the battery area, no luck
- where the memory module is, no luck
- even under the hard drive, no luck

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
You're not going to find a sticker because these PCs were preloaded with Win10, not Win7. With the newer PCs, the product code is no longer printed on a sticker but instead, is embedded into the UEFI firmware of the motherboard.
You can NOW retrieve that key using this utility: http://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/2577-showkey.html
However ... since product keys for Win10 are very different than for Win7, my suspicion is that the key still will not work.
If that is the case, then you will need to contact HP Customer Support to discuss the issue with them.
