Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Brand new laptop with Edge browser, after 10-15 minutes website might start to load, but never finish. It shows a white screen, browser at the top and there is nothing to tell me that it is trying to load.  No added software or driver changes. I also have an older desktop using Firefox that is not wireless.  The laptop does this, no matter if the desktop is on line or not.  Thank You. Deena

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

The default web browser in Win10, Edge, give folks no end of problems.

Most often, website viewing problems in Win10 are due to folks using the new default Win10 browser - Edge.

You can switch to using Internet Explorer (which has a lot less problems in Win10) following these directions: http://www.tenforums.com/installation-setup/6310-how-reset-ie-default-browser-instead-edge.html

If that does not solve the browser problems, then consider switching to Chromium -- which is a lot more work, but works well.

Good Luck

Thank you for your answer.  I later contacted HP by phone and after being on the phone with them for over 5 hours in two days and trying many changes & the IE browser.  Even cleaned out W-10 completely & reinstalled it. It didn't help.  And after being on the phone with my IP & several speed tests, I really believe mine is a IP problem.  We live at the end of their high speed area & they said they couldn't do anything to help.  Just strange that desktop works ok most of the time, but laptop won't at all!  We returned it to the store today.  Thank you for your help.  Deena Sue
