Wireless card upgrade - HP Pavillion g6

Hello everyone!

I have a HP Pavillion g6 1161a. It currently has a Ralink rt5390 wireless card which appears to be broken so I intend to replace it. Will the HP 602992 Ralink RT3090BC4 card be compatible with this laptop?

Thank in advance

When requesting assistance, please provide the complete model name and product number of the HP computer in question. HP/Compaq makes thousands of models of computers. Without this information it may be difficult or impossible to assist you in resolving your issue.

The above requested information can be found on the bottom of your computer, inside the battery compartment, or on the BIOS setup screen. Please DO NOT include your serial number. Enter the model/product information into HP's Online Consumer Support page and post it here for our review.

Unless the HP 602992 Ralink RT3090BC4 card is listed in the HP MSG for your computer, it may not work.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
