boot device not found

hp envy dv6

boot device not found.

 

just change my bios to load at optimal and change my boot sequence to dvd--hd.

never boot again, cant even enter bios anymore.

 

please help.

Hello @joko_nano,

 

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums!

 

I read your post about the boot device issue, and wanted to assist you!  I understand that you changed the boot order in the BIOS, and the system will no longer boot, nor access the BIOS.

 

Have you had any issues previously with the Optical Drive?  Was the system able to detect the Optical Drive, before making the changes in the BIOS?  First, you can try restoring the BIOS using the following document: HP Notebook PCs - Restoring the BIOS

 

If you are still having trouble after restoring the BIOS, then try reviewing the following document, and let me know how it goes:

HP Notebook PCs - Boot Device Not Found Error or Hard Drive Not Detected
