brightness volume keys not working

HP 15-r022tx
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

My notebook is HP 15-r022tx running windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, 8gb ram and 1tb hdd, Interl HDisplay graphics family and NVIDIA GeForce 820M.  I recently upgraded my OS to Windows 10 and then downgraded back to Win 7(last week).  Two to three days ago, all the hotkey functions of the Function keys (functions that DONT require the use of Fn key) stopped. The Function keys work fine (e.g. Fn+f5 or Fn=f3 work fine), but the volume up or down or mute, brightness up or down, wifi on/off etc, wont work ? I have no idea how this happened or why.

Any suggestions ?

brightness volume keys not working

Hi @roohanqadri,

Welcome to HP Forums!

I understand that part of the Fn key combinations stopped working. I want to help.

You may need to update the driver for HP Quick Launch Buttons:

Let me know if it works after you updated the driver.
