Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi there today I got the bsod I keep getting the stop code FAT FILE and NTFS. The laptop goes preparing automatic repair but nothing happens. It just goes back to the blue screen. This laptop came pre-installed with windows 8 and updated to windows 10. It's been working very well for the last couple of years until today. I don't have a bootable cd or usb. Is there anything else I can do to fix it. I. Startup settings if I reset security settings to factory mode would this help in anyway?. I really need a quick fix as I have assignments to hand in!. Hope someone can help

Hi:

 

You can clean install W10 by making your own plain W10 installation media using the Media Creation Tool at the link below.

When you go to reinstall W10, and you get to the part where you are asked to enter a product key, you select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically reactivate once you are connected to the internet.

 

Then install the W10 drivers and available software you need from your notebook's support page.

Be sure to back up any files you don't want to lose before proceeding to reinstall W10.
