Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion 15-au003tx. I read that the charger is plugged in and the battery status says plugged in and not charging. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

To provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did any software changes or updates happen on the laptop recently?
  • If you disconnect the charger then does the laptop stay powered on the batter power?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Power off the laptop.
  • Remove the battery out.
  • Disconnected AC adapter from the laptop.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the battery and plug the AC adapter.
  • Power ON the laptop.

I suggest you to perform the steps as described in detail from this link. These steps help is fixing battery charge related issues.

I hope this information helps. Please keep me posted on the outcome. Cheers! 🙂
