computer screen goes blank

The screen on my PC (Pavilion m7-1015dx windows 7 64 bit) goes blank when I don't do anything with it.

Once the web page is on and I don't move the mouse or go to any other sites for about 10-15 min, the

screen goes blank.

When that happens, all I do is hit the space bar and it comes back on, but If I have been away

for a period of time, I hit the space bar and I have to swipe my sensor bar like I had just turned the

PC on.

When I had, Radio Rage on the web and was playing it, the screen never went blank, I could

leave the house for hours and when I came back the screen was still on.

Even when I switch to my Desk Top screen, it would go blank.

I had to delete Radio Rage because it messed up my start page.

I'm not sure if the problem is the PC it self, or if it is something to do with software.

If there is someone that has had the same problem and fixed it, Please let me know.

Thank You

Re: computer screen goes blank

Open windows Control Panel, open Pesonalization, click the Screen saver link in the bottom right and in the following window, adjust the time in the 'Wait' box to a time you want before the screen saver appears and click Apply. Or if you prefer never to get the log-on screen, remove the tick next to 'On resume, display logon screen'.  Click Apply to save the change.

Next, open windows Control Panel  again and click Power Options, click the Change plan settings link next to your currently selected power plan and in the following window adjust the time using the dropdown box next to 'Turn Off Display' to a more acceptable setting and then click Save Changes.

Note:  Set the time in the Power Options menu to be slightly longer than the time you set in the Screensaver Menu or you will never see your screensaver start.

Re: computer screen goes blank

Thank U but it appears that the screen saver does not work.

I set it for 2 min and waited 5 min but it never came on.
