Solved!

downgrade windows 8 to windows 7 HP 15-g013dx PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller

HP Recommended

Hello;

I try everything on my HP 15-g013dx to solve PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller for Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit

I dowload AMD-Catalyst-14-9-win7-win8.1-64Bit-raid-sb and the problem continue

I download Intel Trusted Execution Engine driver and problem continue

I download a lot of SP##### for SM BUS Controller, AMD USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver, AMD USB Filter Driver and nothing works

Thanks for any help to solve this issue HP Support Experts.

Hi:

You need this driver for that device...

http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?spf_p.tpst=swdMain&s...

You may need to manually install it if the auto install doesn't work.

To manually install the driver, go to the device manager, click on the PCI E/D Controller needing drivers.

Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.  Select the Browse my computer for driver software method and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.

That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp66974.

Make sure the Include Subolders box is checked and the driver should install.  Then reboot.

Hi:

With friends like that, who needs enemies?  :generic:

SM Bus controller:

Download, unzip and manually install the smbus controller driver I attached.

Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing drivers.  Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.

Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that you unzipped.

Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.  Then reboot.

Network Controller:

Ethernet Controller:  See if this one works...

Hi:

Is the Atheros wireless card showing up in the device manager under the Network Adapters category, or is there still a Network Controller device showing up in the Other Devices category?

If there is a network controller showing up, please do the following so I can figure out what model card your notebook uses.

Go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.

Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.

Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.

Drop down on that list and select the second item (Hardware ID's).

Post the top string of characters you see in the window that start with PCI\VEN:

You're very welcome.

They put a different wireless card in your notebook than the parts list showed.

This driver should work for you...
