enter administrator password or power on password. I am unable to get past this on a HP 15-f111dx. System Disabled, A [C5410DD3]. I have tried several code generators to no avail. I have also tried BIOS restores, even from a new download from a flash drive. Does someone have a code that will work or another solution? I'm thinking of pulling the BIOS battery and shorting out the BIOS to clear this, if that works on this model.

Sorry but we do not have a pass code generator for HEX codes yet.
You will need to contact HP and they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.
When talking to the HP rep ask them to escalate your service request.
We have also seen success with removing the BIOS/RTC battery.

REO, as promised, I’m getting back to you on my results. HP support was a no reply to the message I sent. Called and the person I spoke to had no clue to what I was asking and told me they do not PW the BIOS. He apparently consulted with someone and told me that I would have to ship the laptop to them to take care of this. Then proceeded to direct me to sales for a new laptop. Told me that Best Buys would also have me send the laptop to HP and they do not repair HP machines. Not much to be said for the HP / Best Buys relationship. As for removing the battery and short the BIOS. Not worth the time for the cost of a new laptop nor the odds of success. So… I’m done. New laptop on the horizon. Thanks again for your help!
