still locked out by pass word on start up

When asked for the password, just hit enter 3 times.

If you are referring to Windows login password I would suggest F11 immediately after powering on to boot into System Recovery to restore the laptop back to Factory.

apparently it was fixed when rebooted after windows reset disk, just opened without any pass word and it worked just fine.
