HP 15 R014TX
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

The function keys are not working. Keys which are used to decrease volume/brightness etc etc. How do i make them work?

Welcome to HP Forums! I have read your post and wanted to help.

 

I understand that the function keys to control the brightness do not work. Please reinstall the graphic driver in your Device Manager. You can download the driver here: http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-r000-Notebook-PC-series/6875200/model/7132770

 

Test the function keys after the re-installation.

Thanks for reply..I have installed graphics driver but none of special keys are working

HI @rrgreat123,

 

Please download and install the following package.

sp73248.exe 

 

This package contains the HP System Event Utility, which enables special function keys on supported notebook models to be programmed. For example, HP System Event Utility enables users to press the Fn+ESC keys to view system information. This software is provided for supported models running a supported operating system.
