hp DV4 screen went black

hp DV4
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
We upgrade the ram. Than couple weeks later screen went black. So hooked up external monitor but now the WiFi don't work either.

Tried the hard restart didn't do any thing than replaced the lcd screen that didn't fix it either. Looked for broke wires burnt chips and can't find any.

Anyone got any suggestions as to what could be causing the problem?

@srryan11 Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

As I understand the screen went black after the ram was upgraded a few weeks back,

it works fine on an external monitor, however, the WiFi isn't working now either,

I recommend getting the LCD screen either repaired via HP (free if it's within the HP Warranty) or you can get it replaced via HP parts store for genuine HP Parts (If you didn't get the replacement from HP).

Since the issue persists after replacing the part as well, please contact the phone support for further assistance as it could be a possible motherboard/graphics card failure, if you've already updated BIOS and all the drivers related to your video card.
