Hi! @jayaraman123, Welcome to HP forums.

I understand you have keyboard on your laptop is partially functioning

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your PC?

Have you tried checking with an external keyboard?

Try restoring the BIOS to default and check if it helps.

To restore BIOS default turn on your PC keep tapping the F10 key.

You will boot into BIOS from the main or file menu select restore defaults. Select restore defaults.

Press F10 to save changes and exit. Check if the key is functioning correctly.

Also, Check if all the keys are functioning in recovery manager command prompt.

To boot into command prompt turn on your PC, keep tapping the F11 key you will boot into recovery manager.

From the menu select troubleshoot then select the advanced option from there select safe mode with command prompt.

Check if all the keys on the keyboard are working fine. If the keys are not functioning it is a hardware issue, please contact HP support for service options.

Link to contact HP.

Take care,

Have a great day ahead!  🙂
