internet quit working; won't even contact HP support

HP 15 laptop
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My laptop nternet has quit working. I can't even contact HP support. And when I did contact HP support by phone they are trying to rip me off for more money than I paid for the computer to fix the problem. Whaqt can I do?.

What exactly has changed these days for the Internet to stop ? Did you notice any recently applied Windows updates , driver updates, etc ??

 

System Restore is a function in Windows that can be helpful because it can restore your PC to previous state (actually it restores programs, drivers, registry to the way it was before). Please, perform "System Restore" first in an attempt to fix the issue. Please, restore back to previous days (restore point) where the issue was not present. Here is more info:
