HP Probook 440 G3 base model
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new HP Probook 440 G3 Base model. I want to know how i can install new SSD drive by myself. Will there be any warrenty issue if i do it by my self.

Hi,

 

From the following manual, yes, you can replace yourself:

But, warranty is a grey area, if nothing went wrong then you will be ok. The book also shows you how.

Thank you for the reply. One more clarification abot SSD.

 

I have one partition C:\ on my 1 TB HDD, if i install SSD how is partitioning work. Will SSD take as one partition and Others as normal patitions.

 

Also will there be a concidarable performance improvement with SSD.

 

I am planning to have SSD with OS and other frequent programs.

Hi,

 

I normally clone the existing HDD to SSD (same capacity or larger). This is the quickest and easiest way. Since you C: is 1TB, the clone process will keep C: 1TB on SSD unless you wanted to do different way.
