privacy alert popup

whenever I go from Thunderbird to a internet link, a window pops up entitled "privacy alert" telling me that some website has requested to save a file on my computer called a "COOKIE".  it gives me an "allow" or "block cookie" option, but no matter which option I select it will not go away and prevents me from accessing the links' site.  I have to call up the Task Manager to get out of wherever I am.  how do I stop these windows from poping up?

Hi,

Thunderbird is not a product from HP, you may need to lower security or use exception from Thunderbird:
