"HP Battery Check was unable to acces the battery"

Hi all,

I have a three year old HP dv6-6135dx that's been having battery trouble the past year and half or so (plugged in, not charging errors, couldn't hold a charge, computer only runs when plugged into adapter). So I decided to purchase a replacement.

The replacement came with a 68% charge, which went down and finally died, and once again my computer would not charge the battery while the adapter was connected, at all. I went into the battery asisstant and ran the battery check but only got the error: "HP Battery Check was unable to access the battery." I did this for my old battery and got the same result.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

"HP Battery Check was unable to acces the battery"

Hi

Do a hard reset: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01684768

Please do all the troubleshooting steps in this document to identify the issue: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00259897

Update the BIOS from your HP product website:
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00042629

Uninstall Microsoft ACPI Compliant battery & battery driver from Battery section in Device manager & Restart the system to reinstall them.

Follow each method & check one by one. Hope this resolves the concern.,

"HP Battery Check was unable to acces the battery"

Are you feaking kidding me!

I have spent the last 3 hours reading and trying everything including rebooting, removing and reinstalling the battery and AC charger about 1,000,000 times.

I do a factory rest as per Visruth's instructions and all is well?

All hail the great and Powerful Visruth!!!
