recover deleted video file

HP Recommended

Presario CQ 62, WQ8561UA#ABA, Windows 7 64-bit

No changes were made to this system before the issue occurred. I have not ever "dumped" the recycling bin.

Hi,

To start with, if you haven't emptied the Recycle Bin, double click it and see if the video file is listed here.  If it is, right click it and Restore the file.  Otherwise, I'd suggest the free file recovery program on the link below.

Yesterday I purchased  and downloaded the Recuva Pro software. I have run the wizard five or six times and when it reaches the point of being 33% complete (first of three discs and first of two sections) my laptop locks up to the point I can't move my cursor. What am I not doing correctly and should I ask for my money back? The video  file I am seeking was not given a file name, i.e., "saved as...."  After viewing the video I just hit "delete" and now realize I, in fact, have an important use for it. I can't duplicate it.

Hi Sam,

Where on your Hard Drive was the video file located when you deleted it?
