Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I was trying to dual boot my system with ubuntu but accidently oressed erase and install ubuntu.How can I recover my windows?

You likely cannot very easily. Did you by any chance make the HP recovery disk when the system was new as it prompted you? If not Windows 10 can be downloaded from Microsoft if that is what you were running and drivers and some apps can be downloaded from this site.

I had a recovery drive on my hard disk. Can that be helpful ?

It would have been but likely got wiped out by Ubuntu. When you selected use whole disk it nuked all the partitions on the drive to allow Linux to fill the whole thing.

ok. I was searching a lot about this and came across testdisk which can recover deleted partitions.Do you think It would help  ? or else I have to start from again as suggested by you.

You can likely still get some data off the deleted partitions with such a tool or even a free program like recuva. 

 

However, the restoration would have to be 100% perfect for the recovery partition to work and data recovery from a formatted partition is never going to be perfect.
