I am getting a message "boot device not found" and "please install an operating system on your hard disk." What does this mean. My laptop is only a year and a half old and I can not afford to buy another one.

I did a Hard Disk check on my computer and the quick test the hard disk passed. But, on the full test, @ 49% it came up with "Hard Disk 1 Full (305)" and then the smart check said "Hard Disk 1 Smart (301)".....so, what does that mean?

If the following error message:
The system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly
Error Code : 9b
is showing up then do below suggestion.
If it is other error message then please write this error message in the next reply and ignore below suggestion.
Perform the Hard reset :
- Unplug the AC adapter from the notebook PC.
- Remove the computer from any port replicator or docking station, disconnect cables to printers or devices such as external monitors, USB memory sticks or SD cards, headset or external speakers, mouse or auxiliary keyboard, turn off WIFI and Bluetooth wireless devices.
- Remove the battery from the notebook battery compartment.
- Press and hold down the power button for about 1 minute to drain any residual electrical charge from the capacitors that protect the memory.
- Insert the battery and plug the AC adapter back into the notebook PC, but do not connect any of the peripheral devices.
- Press the power button to turn the notebook PC back on.

Hi,
Please write full error message.
Statement like : "on start up it says error with fan" does not giving me any indication of the problem.
