hp pavilion 15 notebook
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

my laptop makes sporadic beep noises lasting about 2 seconds. it has happened in the past , once every few months, but in the past week it has happened about 3 times. it is not related to start up or any activity. theres no change in performance of the laptop. the laptop is 18 months old.

what is causing the noise and do i need to do anything about it.

I understand you hear sporadic beep noise from your PC occasionally.

 

Don't worry I will try to help you out.

 

Did you make any software or hardware changes to your PC?

 

How many and what sequence beep sounds do you get from your PC?

 

Do you see any blinking lights on caps lock on num lock on your PC?

 

Try updating BIOS on your PC and check if it helps.

 

As you mentioned your computer works fine even after getting the beep sound on your PC

 

Refer this article to know information about beep codes and blink codes on a laptop.

 

Also, try running system diagnostics on your PC and check if the hardware components on your PC is working well.

 

Refer this article to know how to run system diagnostics on your PC.
