updating simplepass

Envy 17 inch 102tx leapmotion
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

When i click on the simplepass pdate icon in the top right hand corner of the simplepass window i get a message that "the server file failed to load" leading to a failed check for updates.  What can i do about this?  Running Win 8.1 64 bit

I have the same issue. And I believe it's the root of an issue I'm having with my lock screen as well.
