Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.
As I understand the webcam doesn't work,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate solution I need a few more details:
When was the last time it worked? did you attempt a system restore?
Is the webcam detected under device manager? if yes did you try to reinstall the webcam drivers using the HP Support site?
Which OS do you use and what is the product number of your PC?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
Some HP notebooks, Touch, and AiO computers come with preinstalled webcams that can be used to capture video motion or still images. A webcam is a video input device, similar to a scanner or camera, and will not work unless you have software that works with your webcam hardware. The two most common types of software that use webcams are Internet messaging software (for making video calls over the Internet), and video editing software (for creating and sharing video files).
