webcam not working in skype

HP Recommended

Does anyone know how to get my webcam working in skype?  I have an hp pavilion dv2058ea laptop.  When skyping, I can see the person I am talking to but they cant see me. I know my webcam works when not in skype because I can record myself and play it back, but the little square in the bottom left hand corner doesnt pick me up.  Any ideas gratefully received!

From the main window of skype, click on Tools> Options> General tab> Video Settings tab. If your webcam is functioning you will see yourself displayed. If you are not seeing yourself be sure you have Enable Skype Video checked. If you are still having difficulty click Webcam Settings and make sure that Enable skype video is checked
