what is the configuration of laptop

[ Edited ]

I had purchased an HP laptop with serial no.: {Personal Information Removed} on 24th August, 2013, while purchasing we were told that the laptop has 500GB HDD SATA however when we checked it at our place we could only see 320GB HDD. Kindly confirm the configuration of the above mentioned serial no.

Serial Numbers are considered private information - You can select Options and Edit your post to remove the number.

What you want to use instead is the PRODUCT NUMBER for your computer.

With the product number in hand, you can look up your computer's specifications, the available drivers for it, and a bunch of other stuff.

The exact configuration on THAT computer may not match the specifications page at your computer's support website if:

  • You purchased the computer used - anything might have been done to it.
  • The computer was purchased as a "CTO" , that is, a Custom system built especially for a particular configuration.

If you purchased the Notebook new from HP, the configuration should be in the paperwork either included with your shipment OR on the original order sheet.

To find your computer's support website, enter your information here

How to find your Product Number:

Locate the Notebook Product Number

===========   OR    ================

On your keyboard (Use the built-in keyboard, and not an external / USB controlled device):

  • Press the FN and ESC keys at the same time
