Hi @vikasgoyal832,

I understand you want the product key for Windows 8.1 for your HP notebook. Don't worry I'll try my best to help you with this,

This is to inform you that the product key information will be encrypted in the BIOS of your Notebook.

Note: No more product key stickers

You don't need the product key information if you are using the HP Recovery Discs for your Notebook.

For Windows 8 Operating System, the product key information will be put in the BIOS

Remember if you want the free upgrade from W8 to W8.1, you have to do so via the Windows Store

If for some reason, it's asking for a product key, then you try these steps here:

Method 1 – Activate Windows Dialog

The first way to validate that Windows 8.1 is genuine is to click on Start, then type in:  activate windows in the search box.

If your copy of Windows 8.1 is activated and genuine, you will get t a message that says “Activation was successful” and you will see the Microsoft Genuine software logo on the right-hand side.

Method 2 - Click on Start, then Control Panel, then click on System and Security, and finally click on System.

Then scroll all the way down to the bottom and you should see a section called Windows activation, which says “Windows is activated” and gives you the Product ID. It also includes the genuine Microsoft software logo.

If it's not activated. Don't worry, though, as I'll be glad to help you out as you could attempt activating your windows using the following methods:

Activate by phone (IVR) using Microsoft:

* Step 1 – Click on Windows Orb and enter ‘slui.exe 4’ into the search box

* Step 2 – From the search list, click on ‘slui.exe 4’

* Step 3 – From the drop-down list, choose the country you are residing now

* Call the designated toll-free number; Read out the number displayed on the screen accordingly.

* The IVR will then read out a list of character to you, enter it into the screen and Activate windows.

Reinstall windows using the recovery media that you may have created shortly after the computer was purchased, if you haven't that's okay as you can order one online using the Official HP Website: Click here

You may also call the HP Phone support and order by phone: Click here

Eagerly waiting for your response!

I hope you have a good day ahead,

And Feel free to ask your queries as this forum has some of the best people in the world available and ready to help.

Regards,
