How to turn on wireless capability for HP pavilion DV 6000 CTO notebook pc ? thank you

Hi:

 

There is a slide switch located on the front of the notebook on the front black plastic housing just below and to the left of the palm rest.

the slide switch already push but still not working at all....thank you

I'll need some more info...

 

1. Was the wireless working OK, and all of a sudden it quit?

 

2. Have you reinstalled the operating system?

 

3. Do you have the HP Wireless Assistant software installed?

 

4. If you go to the device manager, under the Network Adapters section, is the wireless card model listed?

 

5. If the wireless card is not listed under network adapters, is there a device listed as a network controller and does it have a little yellow ! mark in the main device manager listing?
