Help!  I have a new PolyCom VTX 1000, ad cannot get a dial tone ot save my life!

 

What needs to be done??

 

We have an AVAYA Partner pnone system, and have used a borrowed PolyCom device in our Board Room in the past.

 

Now we bought our own, and cannot get a dial tone.

Hello, 

 

Do you know what type of phone you used before? We have many different types of SoundStation phones that can use different types of phone lines. Also do you have a analog card for your Avaya Partner phone system? This phone is meant to work on a analog line when being used as a standalone phone.

The model that we had borrowed before was a Sound Station EX.  Any difference??

Hello Tom,

welcome to the Polycom Community.

Are you sure the phone line is still patched into the room and works?

 

It may have changed since you last used it.

 

You could try another analog phone in that room or try the VTX on a known working analog line.
