poly 6200 UC

Related to the issue here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Bluetooth-Headsets-Earbuds/Voyager-6200-UC-microphone-failures/td-p/88...

Voyager 6200 UC microphone doesn't work, or works inconsistently.

Then install following these steps (also found here: https://info.lens.poly.com/docs/Software%20Versions/sw-upload-device-usb)

Install Device Software Manually

  1. Open Poly Lens Desktop.

  2. Connect the USB device to upgrade to your computer.

  3. Select the Device you want to upgrade.

  4. Select Support > Device Info & Logs.

  5. Take note of the PID on this page (if one is provided).

  6. Select Upload from the Custom Software Update field.

  7. Browse to the software bundle you downloaded from Poly Lens.

  8. Select OK.

If this gives you an error it's likely because the PID of your device doesn't match the PID of the firmware file.

Here's how you get around that.

  1. Note the PID of your device as from step 5 above.

  2. Unzip the firmware from the ZIP file.

  3. Open the rules.json file in a text editor.

  4. Edit the rules.json file so that all PID entries match your device. See my example below.

  5. Save the rules.json file.

  6. ZIP the firmware files with the edited rules.json file.

  7. Repeat the steps above to "Install Device Software Manually".

To correctly edit the rules.json file find all entries that match "0x0146", and replace it with your PID number

in my case I changed all entries that read:

"pid" : "0x0146",

to:

"pid" : "0x0152",
