107w printer not taking 105A toner - need regional reset?

HI I purchased a HP 107w printer in ghana and have moved to peru. it originally came with a 106a printer cartridge. when i went on peru hp site it said 105a was compatible with 100 series printers. But I am getting blinking error lights. i am told  i need a region reset to fix. can someone send me the instructions? i just purchased a brand new toner and the printer is in perfecly good working order so I don't want to get a new one.
