HP DeskJet 2722 All-in-One Printer

I have FOUR ink cartridges and all of them are either not printing anything or they are faded or not the right color. They are brand new and my printer shows the ink is full. 2 of them are the cartridges that came with the printer and the other 2 I purchased. I am very angry because I feel that this was a waste of money. Printer ink is NOT cheap and now I can't even use the ones I paid for on top of the ones that came with the printer.

Hi @Cassablanca,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you. I see you need help with the ink cartridges. May I know if is it a brand new printer?

May I know if the cartridges are labeled as set-up cartridges?

In the meantime, you may try these steps:

Step 1: Remove the black ink cartridge

Step 2: Use genuine HP ink cartridges

Step 3: Allow the printer to rest

Step 4: Check the paper

Step 5: Check the print settings

Step 6: Check ink levels

Step 7: Replace any low or empty ink cartridges

Step 8: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic report

Step 9: Check the Print Quality Diagnostic report for defects

Step 10: Clean the ink cartridges

Step 11: Align the printer

Step 12: Clean the area around the ink nozzles

Step 13: Replace the problem ink cartridge

Step 14: Service the printer

Thank you for the reply, but I had tried most of these before making my post. The cartridges just appear to be empty even though brand new from the packaging. The printer shows that they have ink in them, but they print as if they do not. The colored ones are both missing colors when they print. One of the blacks does not print anything at all and the other prints in like a faded gray/blue most of the time. I've gone through 4 ink cartridges and they are all having issues. I don't want to buy more to keep replacing them. Unfortunately, I feel I have wasted my money because I don't think these can be replaced now without packaging.
