Hi @LarryJoan ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP 6052e printer is not accepting new HP cartridges, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue. Here's a step-by-step guide:

Ensure Compatibility:

  • Make sure that the cartridges you are using are compatible with your HP 6052e printer. Check the cartridge numbers and ensure they match the specifications of your printer model.

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the cartridges are installed correctly. Open the printer cover, remove the old cartridges, and carefully install the new ones. Make sure they are securely inserted into their respective slots.

Remove Plastic Strips and Tape:

  • Check for any plastic strips or tapes that might be covering the ink nozzles or electrical contacts on the cartridges. Remove any protective coverings before inserting the cartridges.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve communication issues between the printer and cartridges.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve compatibility issues. You can usually find firmware updates on the official HP support website.

Clean Electrical Contacts:

  • If the printer still doesn't recognize the cartridges, turn off the printer and unplug it. Gently clean the electrical contacts on both the cartridges and the printer using a lint-free cloth. Be careful not to touch the nozzles or other sensitive parts.

Check for Error Messages:

  • Look for any error messages or codes displayed on the printer's control panel or on your computer screen. This information can help you identify the specific issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
