Installed new black cartridge and it only prints blank pages.  Have run the routines, uninstalled drivers and reinstalled.  Cleaned heads, still only prints blanks.

Hi @RJSlsl ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're facing issues with your HP Officejet Pro 6830 printer printing blank pages despite installing a new black cartridge and performing routine maintenance, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the problem. Here's a comprehensive guide:

Check Ink Levels:

  • Ensure that the new black cartridge is installed correctly and has sufficient ink. You can check the ink levels through the printer software on your computer or directly on the printer's control panel.

Perform a Printer Self-Test:

  • Initiate a self-test on the printer to see if it can print a test page without using the computer. This helps determine if the issue is with the printer itself.
  • Follow the printer manual or instructions provided by HP on how to perform a self-test.

Clean Printhead:

  • Use the printer's cleaning utility to clean the printhead. This can be done through the printer software on your computer.
  • If your printer has a built-in control panel, navigate to the settings and look for an option related to printhead cleaning.

Align Printhead:

  • Aligning the printhead ensures that the nozzles are properly aligned for optimal printing. You can find the option to align the printhead in the printer software or on the control panel.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your specific printer model.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Make sure there are no conflicts with other printer-related software on your computer. Uninstall any unnecessary printer software and drivers.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Completely uninstall the existing printer drivers and reinstall them. Make sure to download the drivers from the official HP website.

Use Genuine HP Cartridges:

  • Ensure that you are using genuine HP ink cartridges. Third-party or refilled cartridges may not work properly and can lead to printing issues.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can resolve various issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
