7855 All-in 64 black remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge

i have new 64 black ink for my 7855 hp all-in. after installation it keeps telling me remove and reinstall the indicated cartridge. how can i fix it. im sure that i bought correct ink. please need help

I understand the black ink cartridge is not working. To assist you better, have you tried using an alternate black ink cartridge and check?


Yes, HP ENVY PHOTO 7855 printer uses HP 64 ink cartridges in the US region.


Make sure you have tried the steps mentioned in this document - HP Printer Does not Print and Error Indicates Faulty Ink Cartridge


Make sure the ink cartridges are properly placed. You may refer to - Replacing the Ink Cartridges

Remove plastic tapes if any on the ink cartridge.


If the issue persists, I'm afraid this could be a hardware issue. Please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the replacement options for the ink cartridge. 

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.
