8025 Printer is not printing Blues/Greens. Cartridges are couple months old from Instant Ink. Printer heads deep cleaned. First time issue--thoughts?

Hi @Fbear,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you’re dealing with a frustrating color printing issue on your HP OfficeJet 8025. If blues and greens aren’t coming through, here are some steps to troubleshoot the problem:
1. Check Ink Levels
- Even if the cartridges are a couple of months old, double-check the ink levels using the HP Smart app or printer display to ensure they are still sufficient.
2. Print a Test Page
- Print a color test page to see if the issue is isolated to specific colors. This can help you determine if it’s a problem with specific cartridges.
Run Printhead Cleaning Again
- If you haven’t already, run a printhead cleaning cycle from the printer’s maintenance menu. Sometimes multiple cleanings can help if the nozzles are partially clogged.
4. Check for Clogs or Blockages
- If the deep clean didn’t help, consider inspecting the printhead itself for any clogs. You may need to manually clean the printhead with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of distilled water.
5. Swap Cartridges
- If you have access to another set of cartridges (even if they are used), try swapping them to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the cartridges themselves.
6. Print from Different Applications
- Sometimes the problem can stem from the application being used. Try printing from different software to see if the issue persists across all applications.
7. Update Firmware
- Check for any firmware updates for your printer through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel. Updates can fix bugs or improve performance.
8. Factory Reset
- As a last resort, consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Be sure to note any settings you want to keep, as this will return everything to default.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
