I’m growing so frustrated by the astronomical costs of HP 950 & 951 ink cartridges.  I replaced cartridges a little over year ago with 950XL and 951 and my printer has been inoperable for weeks because the color cartridges are empty, again!  I haven’t printed a SINGLE document in color since replacing the ink cartridges.

When I priced them last week, I could buy a Brother all in one black & white laser printer for almost the same price (within $10) as replacing 950XL & 951 cartridges.  Not to mention, the toner replacements print far more pages and are so much cheaper!!! How outrageous is all of this?
Does anyone know how to get around replacing color cartridges OR a cheaper way? I still have lots of black ink.
I just read an article about a 2010 lawsuit against HP related to ink cartridges.  I am positive my next printer will NOT be an HP, especially if an HP employee doesn’t respond to this.  Many thanks and Happy Holidays!
