Hi @225lap, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a cartridge issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 printer. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Check the Cartridges: Ensure the cartridges are properly installed and seated. Remove them and reinsert them carefully. Inspect the cartridges for any visible damage or leaks.

Clean the Contacts: Sometimes, cleaning the contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer can help. Use a lint-free cloth and distilled water to gently clean the contacts

Update the Printer Firmware: From the home screen on the printer control panel, touch the HP ePrint icon. Wait for the printer to connect to the HP ePrint server. Then, touch Settings, followed by Printer Update, and finally Check for Update Now.

Perform a Power Drain:

  • Remove the cartridges.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall.
  • Press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, then release it.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the printer and the wall.
  • Reinsert the cartridges

Reseat the Printhead:

  • Open the cartridge access door.
  • Unplug the power cord to prevent the carriage from moving.
  • Lift the carriage latch and slightly lift the printhead without fully removing it.
  • Reinsert the printhead and ensure it is fully seated

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
