Hi @AMPKS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8030 is printing pink instead of cyan, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
Troubleshooting Steps
Check Cartridge Installation:
- Ensure the cyan cartridge is installed correctly and is securely seated in the correct slot.
Perform a Printhead Cleaning:
- Access the printer settings on the control panel or through the HP Smart app and run a printhead cleaning cycle. This can help clear any clogs that might be affecting color output.
Check Ink Levels:
- Even if the cartridge is new, check the ink levels to ensure it has sufficient ink. Sometimes new cartridges can be defective.
Run a Print Quality Diagnostic:
- Print a quality report from the printer settings to check if there are issues with any colors. This will help identify if the printhead is clogged or if there’s another problem.
Check for Firmware Updates:
- Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model that might resolve color printing issues.
Clean the Printhead Manually:
- If cleaning through the software doesn’t help, you can try cleaning the printhead manually using a lint-free cloth and some distilled water. Be careful not to touch the nozzles directly.
Reset the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, unplug it for about 10 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on again. This can reset any temporary issues.
If the Problem Persists
If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider the following:
Replace the Cartridge:
- If the problem continues, try using another new cyan cartridge to see if the issue is with the cartridge itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
