I've cleaned the cartridges, aligned them, and cleaned the printer. I continue to get poor quality printing. I use ColorLoc everyday paper.

Hi @Sunny698,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing poor print quality on your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e despite performing cleaning and alignment. Let’s go through some targeted troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue.
1. Run a Second-Level Printhead Cleaning
Sometimes a deeper clean is needed:
- Open the HP Smart app or go to the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Type the printer's IP address into a browser (you can find the IP on the control panel under Wi-Fi settings)
- Run the Second-Level Cleaning or Advanced Cleaning (if available).
⚠️ Note: After the second-level clean, let the printer sit for 10–15 minutes before printing again.
2. Print a Print Quality Diagnostic Report
- On the printer’s control panel, go to:
- Setup (gear icon) > Tools > Print Quality Report
- Review the report:
- Look for streaks, faded colors, or misaligned blocks
- This will help identify which cartridge or color is causing the issue
Let me know what you see, or send a photo of the report if needed.
3. Check Ink Levels
- On the control panel or in the HP Smart app, check that ink levels are sufficient.
- If any are low or empty, replace them with genuine HP cartridges.
4. Make Sure Paper Settings Match
- In the Print dialog, ensure the paper type is set to "Plain Paper" or ColorLok®
- Set Print Quality to “Best” for critical prints
5. Update Firmware
Make sure your printer is running the latest firmware:
- In the HP Smart app, or on the printer under Setup > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
