Hi @Sendef,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 5530 printer is not printing the alignment page after installing a new toner cartridge, follow these steps to resolve the issue.

Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation

  • Turn off the printer and remove the toner cartridge.
  • Reinstall the cartridge carefully, ensuring it clicks into place securely.
  • Turn the printer back on and check if it prompts for alignment again.

Use the Printer’s Control Panel

  • From the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings or Tools.
  • Select Align Printer or Cartridge Alignment and follow the on-screen instructions to print the alignment page manually.

Update the Printer Firmware

  • Ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date. Visit the HP Support page and download the latest firmware for your printer model.

Reset the Printer

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in, turn it on, and see if the alignment page prints.

Check the Cartridge

  • Verify that the cartridge is compatible with your HP Envy 5530 printer.
  • If it’s a refurbished or third-party cartridge, the printer might have trouble recognizing it. Try using an HP original cartridge if possible.

Clean the Cartridge and Printer Contacts

  • Turn off the printer and remove the cartridge.
  • Clean the electrical contacts on the cartridge and inside the printer using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  • Allow the contacts to dry completely, reinstall the cartridge, and try again.

Use the HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • Navigate to Printer Maintenance or Printer Tools, and select the alignment option.

Bypass the Alignment Process

If alignment isn’t mandatory for your printer to function:

  • From the printer’s control panel, skip or cancel the alignment process.
  • Try printing a test page to see if the printer operates correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
