Hi @bernardque,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

When all the lights on your HP DeskJet 2720 All-In-One Printer are blinking after you've installed a new cartridge, it generally indicates an issue with the cartridge installation or a problem that needs attention. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the blinking lights issue.

  • Check Cartridge Installation: Make sure you've correctly installed the new ink cartridges. Open the printer cover and ensure that each cartridge is securely and properly inserted into its corresponding slot.
  • Remove and Reinstall Cartridges: If you suspect the cartridges might not be installed correctly, remove them and reinsert them one by one, making sure they click into place.
  • Check Cartridge Compatibility: Ensure that the new cartridges are compatible with your HP DeskJet 2720 printer model. Using incompatible or non-genuine cartridges can cause issues.
  • Check for Protective Tape or Cover: Many ink cartridges come with protective tapes or covers that need to be removed before installation. Check if any protective materials are still attached to the cartridges.
  • Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. Turn on the printer and check if the blinking lights have stopped.
  • Perform a Printer Reset: Sometimes a printer reset can help resolve issues. Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a reset.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Sometimes a paper jam or other obstruction inside the printer can trigger blinking lights. Open the printer cover and check for any obstructions or paper jams.
  • Check for Error Messages: Look for any error messages on the printer's display panel or on your computer screen. These messages can provide more information about the issue.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Outdated firmware can cause various issues. Check the HP official website for firmware updates for your printer model and follow the instructions to update it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
