Hi @fixit18,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The blue screen error 068CC413 on your HP Officejet Pro 8610 E-All-In-One Printer indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printer’s internal components or the cartridge carriage. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Unplug the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
- Wait for about 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet first, then into the printer.
- Turn the printer on and see if the issue persists.
Check for Obstructions:
- Open the printer’s cartridge access door.
- Look for any obstructions or foreign objects that might be blocking the cartridge carriage.
- Gently move the carriage from side to side to ensure there is no blockage.
Inspect the Cartridges:
- If you can access the cartridges, remove them carefully.
- Check for any visible damage or ink leaks.
- Reinstall the cartridges securely.
Reset the Printer:
- If you can’t access the cartridges, you might need to perform a hard reset of the printer. Sometimes, this can help clear the error.
- For some models, this involves holding down the power button while unplugging and then replugging the power cord.
Check for Internal Issues:
- If the carriage is stuck and won’t move, it might indicate an internal hardware failure.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
