Hi @PB_UC,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue of bad color balance on your HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw after replacing the cartridge, you can follow these steps:

Check Cartridge Installation:

  • Ensure that the new cartridges are properly installed and seated correctly in the printer.

Run Printer Diagnostics:

  • Use the printer's built-in diagnostic tools to check for any issues with the new cartridges. You can access this from the printer's control panel.

Print Quality Troubleshooting:

  • From the printer's control panel, navigate to the maintenance or troubleshooting section.
  • Look for options like "Print Quality Report" or "Color Calibration" and run them to diagnose and fix any issues.

Calibrate Color:

  • You may need to manually calibrate the color. To do this:
    • Go to the printer's control panel.
    • Select "Setup" or "Settings."
    • Choose "Printer Maintenance."
    • Select "Calibrate Color" or "Calibrate Now."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the calibration process.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that your printer settings on your computer are set correctly for color printing.
  • Go to "Devices and Printers" on your Windows 10 system.
  • Right-click on your HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw and select "Printer Properties."
  • Go to the "Color" tab and ensure the settings are appropriate for your print job.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. You can download the latest firmware and drivers from the HP Support website.

Perform a Printhead Cleaning:

  • Sometimes, performing a printhead cleaning can help improve print quality.
  • Go to the printer's control panel, select "Setup" or "Settings," then "Printer Maintenance," and choose "Clean Printhead."

Print a Test Page:

  • Print a test page to see if the color balance issue has been resolved. You can do this from the printer's control panel or through the printer properties on your computer.
