This issue lasts for at least 6months now. I am using the printer for business so no question about ink drying out due to inactive periods. I had at least two black cartridges replaced but the problem persist. Second level cleaning is required to return the printing to normal - almost every week! Do I need a new printer?

Hi @PetrTH6B7430BW,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
There could be several possible causes.
- Clogged print head: Over time, ink can build up and dry out on the print head, which can cause blockages and prevent ink from flowing properly. Cleaning the print head can help to clear these blockages, but if the problem persists, you may need to replace the print head.
- Low ink levels: If your printer is running low on ink, it may not be able to print black correctly. Check the ink levels and replace any cartridges that are running low.
- Incorrect print settings: Make sure that you have selected the correct print settings for your document. If you are trying to print a black-and-white document, make sure that your printer is set to print in grayscale.
- Printer driver issues: Check that you have the latest printer drivers installed for your printer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing problems.
- Faulty ink cartridge: If you have already tried cleaning the print head and checking the ink levels, it's possible that the black ink cartridge itself is faulty. Try replacing the cartridge with a new one to see if this resolves the issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

The printer is used 50-60 times per month, latest software, cartridges are on subscription and the black has been replaced couple of times already. If you do not know what is the issue who can find out? If it is the print head, how much is the total cost of a new print head replacement and who will do it?
