HP ENVY Photo 7134 All-in-One Printer

Hello,

My HP ENVY Photo 7134 printer no longer prints black dark enough when printing photo.

It used to print correctly in past. I even opened some of the old photos and i see the blacks are right. (both A4 and 10x15 CM as well)

I am printing on HP Advanced Photo Pape (10x15 CM ) and HP Everyday Photo Paper (A4)

I tried printing using HP smart app, Iphone photo app, From windows 10 laptop all the same results.

I am also using the HP Instant Ink Subscription

Note it seems to be printing fine when printing on normal paper the same photos

Any clue whats causing it.

Hi @Keyur25

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP printer, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

To fix the black printing issue on your HP ENVY Photo 7134:

  1. Check ink levels: Ensure the black cartridge has enough ink.
  2. Clean the printhead: Use the HP Smart app or printer menu to clean the printhead.
  3. Set correct paper type: Make sure your printer is set to photo paper for photo prints.
  4. Adjust print quality: In Windows 10 or the iPhone app, set print quality to Best or Photo Quality.
  5. Align the printer: Run alignment via the printer’s menu or the HP Smart app.
  6. Test with different paper: Try another batch of HP photo paper.
  7. Update firmware: Ensure your printer firmware is up to date.
  8. Replace the cartridge: Consider replacing the black ink cartridge if it’s faulty.
