I replaced the black toner on HP Color Laserjet Pro M252dw with the correct HP toner, and it was printing fine. Now, with 80% toner remaining (approx. 900 pages), my prints look like the cartridge is almost empty. I have been shaking the toner, and I will get a few good prints, but I can't shake the cartridge for every printout. Below is the supply status page.

@KOMPREHENSIVE, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Poor Print Quality on HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Even though your toner cartridge still shows 80% remaining, poor print quality can occur due to several reasons. Here are steps to diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:
1. Check for Printer Settings
Ensure that you are using the correct print settings for your print job. Sometimes, print quality issues are related to incorrect printer settings rather than the toner itself.
2. Clean the Printer
Cleaning the inside of the printer can resolve print quality issues. Here are steps to clean the inside of your HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw:
- Turn off the printer: Ensure it is completely off and unplugged from the power source.
- Open the printer: Access the printer's interior by opening the front cover.
- Remove the toner cartridge: Carefully take out the black toner cartridge and place it on a clean, flat surface.
- Clean the inside: Use a clean, dry lint-free cloth to gently wipe away any dust, toner, or debris inside the printer.
- Reinstall the toner cartridge: Place the toner cartridge back into the printer securely.
- Close the printer: Make sure all covers are properly closed.
- Turn the printer back on: Plug it back in and power it up.
3. Check the Paper
Ensure you are using high-quality paper that meets the printer's specifications. Low-quality paper can negatively affect the print results.
4. Replace the Toner Cartridge
Although the toner shows 80% remaining, sometimes cartridges can be defective. Try another black toner cartridge if you have one available.
Take care, and have an amazing day!
