HP Smart Tank 580 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a problem with my HP Smart Tank 580 printer. When I print something in color it prints the wrong, colors. I would describe it as faded or darkened colors. The printer is relatively new, the inks are full, I went through the process of cleaning the print heads using the HP Smart app. The listed steps have no effect. I'm attaching a couple of photos, as I'm having a hard time visualizing it in words. I don't know if I'm seeing it correctly, but I have the impression that the biggest problem exists with the red color (if this is somehow helpful).Próbka 2.jpgPróbka 1 (1).jpgPróbka 3 (1).jpgPróbka 4 (1).jpgPróbka 5 (1).jpg

Hi @Mariusz2732,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Ink Levels and Quality:

  • Ensure that all ink tanks are filled with the correct type of ink and that there are no air bubbles in the ink tubes.

Printhead Alignment:

  • It's possible that the printhead alignment is off, which can affect color accuracy. Use the HP Smart app or your printer panel to initiate a printhead alignment.

Color Calibration:

  • Perform a color calibration to ensure the printer is producing the correct colors. This can usually be done through the HP Smart app or directly from the printer menu.

Print Settings:

  • Double-check your print settings. Ensure that you have selected the correct paper type and print quality settings when sending a print job.

Software and Driver Updates:

  • Make sure your printer's firmware and drivers are up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app or the HP support website.

Visual Inspection:

  • Visually inspect the printheads for any sign of physical damage or ink blockage.

I hope this helps.
